Virtus Motors, the leading electric vehicle manufacturer in the country, has introduced its latest Alpha series of electric bicycles in the domestic market. The new series includes two models named ‘Alpha A’ and ‘Alpha I’, which aim to bridge the gap between traditional and electric cycles.

What makes the Alpha series special?

Both electric cycles in the Alpha series are equipped with an 8.0 Ah fixed battery pack. The front wheel features a disc brake, and the single-speed design ensures a smooth ride on various road conditions. These cycles come with several user-friendly features, including a 1-inch LCD screen near the throttle that provides real-time information.

Battery and Performance

The Alpha series bicycles are equipped with a 250W electric hub motor and a 36V 8AH battery pack. A fully charged cycle can provide a driving range of up to 30 km, which can be extended to 60 km with pedal support. The top speed of the cycle is 25 kilometers per hour, and it weighs only 20 kg. The bicycle features tube tires, front and rear disc brakes, an MTB frame, and an inbuilt battery pack. The display provides information such as battery level, odometer, and speedometer.

To commemorate its 7th anniversary, Virtus Motors is offering a special price for the Alpha series. The original price of the electric bicycle is Rs 24,999, but the first 50 customers can purchase it for just Rs 15,999. The next 100 customers can avail it for Rs 17,999. During the special discount period, the cycle will be available for Rs 19,999.
