Tata Motors is all set to introduce the Curvv EV in India, adding a new dimension to its electric vehicle lineup. The Curvv, initially showcased as a concept in 2022 and later revealed in its production form at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, is expected to launch in the latter half of 2024.

Variants and Launch Timeline:

The Curvv will be available in both electric (EV) and internal combustion engine (ICE) variants. The EV model is slated for release in the second half of 2024, with the ICE variant to follow a few months afterward.

Design and Features:

The Curvv EV sports a dynamic design, including a full-width LED light bar, a split LED headlight setup, and an aggressive lower grille. Notable are its coupe-like roofline and full-width LED taillights, positioning it as the first electric midsize SUV coupe in India. It also features sporty alloy wheels and a spacious boot.

Platform and Performance:

Built on the innovative Acti.ev platform, which also underpins the Punch.ev, the Curvv EV will offer a high-capacity battery pack expected to deliver a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge. This places the Curvv among the top contenders in its category.

Competitors:

Upon launch, the Tata Curvv EV will compete with upcoming models like the Hyundai Creta EV, Maruti Suzuki eVX, and the Citroen Basalt EV, among others.

Interior and Technology:

The interior of the Curvv EV will be equipped with cutting-edge features including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument console, and Level 2 ADAS. Other luxury amenities include a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera setup, wireless smartphone charging, ambient lighting, automatic climate control, and six airbags.
