Weather Alert: Expect Moderate to Heavy Rainfall in the Next Two Days
Due to the monsoon line passing over Delhi, there’s a good chance of substantial rainfall in the next couple of days. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for moderate to heavy rain. However, similar predictions over the past two days haven’t quite hit the mark. The monsoon officially arrived in the capital on June 28, bringing heavy rain to most areas in the morning.
Water Shortage Over: Yamuna’s Water Level Rises
The water crisis that emerged in June is now a thing of the past. On Monday, the water level in the Yamuna rose to 671 feet. Officials from the Delhi Jal Board state that there’s now enough water in the Yamuna to ensure adequate supply from all plants.
The water level is expected to rise further in the coming days, but even if it stays at its current level, meeting Delhi’s water demands shouldn’t be a problem.
Rising Heat and Humidity in Delhi
Since the heavy rain on June 28, there hasn’t been much rainfall in Delhi. As a result, the heat and humidity levels in the city’s weather have been increasing.
