Today, across many parts of India, the cold weather is beginning to ease up. With the sun shining during the day, people are starting to wear sweaters less frequently. However, the nights are still quite chilly. In the Delhi-NCR region, the weather is expected to remain dry, with sunshine during the day and cold temperatures at night. The minimum temperature is likely to rise in the next couple of days, providing some relief to the residents.

In Rajasthan, however, the cold is still being felt due to foggy conditions. Fatehpur has recorded a minimum temperature of just 0.5 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has warned of a cold wave in various parts of the state, but they also anticipate some changes in the weather soon. Meanwhile, in Kashmir, days are warm but nights are cold, with light rain expected on January 29.

Regional Weather Conditions

In Uttar Pradesh, cities like Agra, Kanpur, Varanasi, Hapur, and Bulandshahr are experiencing minimum temperatures ranging from 8 to 10 degrees Celsius, while maximum temperatures are between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius. Sunshine is providing some comfort to the residents. The Meteorological Department indicates that light to moderate rains could occur in Kashmir, contributing to warmer daytime temperatures but colder nights.

By the evening of January 29, the weather is expected to dry up, with possible snowfall and light rain forecasted for the night of January 29 or the morning of January 30.

Next 24 Hours Forecast

Looking ahead to the next 24 hours, regions like Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh may see light to moderate rains and snowfall. Arunachal Pradesh could also experience similar weather conditions. In Northeast India, sporadic rains are expected in Sikkim, Assam, and Nagaland.

In South India, rain is likely to begin in South Tamil Nadu after a day. The minimum temperatures in Northwestern India may increase by 3 to 4 degrees over the next 24 hours. Cold wave conditions might persist in parts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana, while very dense fog could affect some areas in Uttar Pradesh.
