According to weather forecasts, this week is expected to be quite warm in the region. The maximum and minimum temperatures may continue to rise due to dry northwest winds, low humidity, and the absence of fog.

Rain Expected This Weekend

Weather experts noted that the rise in temperature is also linked to reduced pollution levels. There is a chance of rain over the upcoming weekend, which could bring some relief from the heat. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that two western disturbances are set to impact the area in late January, potentially bringing rain in early February.

Upcoming Western Disturbances

The first western disturbance is anticipated to arrive on January 29, affecting the upper Himalayas. The second disturbance is expected shortly after, on February 1. These disturbances are likely to result in snowfall in the hills and rain in the plains, with the IMD forecasting rain for Delhi towards the end of January.

On Monday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 23.6 degrees Celsius, which is slightly below the normal range. The minimum temperature was noted at 7.2 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels fluctuating between 66% and 87%. The IMD predicts that the skies will remain clear on Tuesday, with partial cloud cover expected in the evening. Northerly winds may also bring some morning haze.
