Heavy Rainfall Forecast by IMD 📅

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall in several regions until June 10. The areas expected to receive heavy rain include:

  • Goa
  • Karnataka
  • Assam
  • Meghalaya
  • West Bengal
  • Sikkim

Kerala is likely to experience heavy rainfall until June 9. Additionally, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are expected to receive rain on June 9 and 10.

Heatwave Alert from Uttar Pradesh to Bihar 🌡️

According to the IMD, a severe heatwave is expected in parts of western Uttar Pradesh on June 9. Heatwave conditions are also likely in Punjab, eastern Uttar Pradesh, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic-West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha.

A severe heatwave may affect parts of Jammu Division, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, eastern Uttar Pradesh, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic-West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha from June 10 to 12.

As per Skymet Weather, the following regions are expected to experience varied weather conditions over the next 24 hours:

  • Moderate to Heavy Rainfall: Coastal Karnataka, southern central Maharashtra, southern Konkan, and Goa.
  • Light to Moderate Rainfall with Heavy Showers at Some Places: Kerala, Lakshadweep, Marathwada, and parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

 

  • Light to Moderate Rainfall: Sikkim, Northeast India, southern interior Karnataka, northern interior Karnataka, and parts of Tamil Nadu.
  • Light Rainfall: Odisha, southern Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and parts of the western Himalayas.

 

  • Dust Storms with Thunderstorms: Western Rajasthan, eastern Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana. Delhi and surrounding areas may also experience dust storms with light rain.
  • Heatwave Conditions: Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, and Odisha.
