DelhiDesk The Uttarakhand government is planning to increase the interest-free loan limit for self-help groups and non-agriculture farmers from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh. The cooperative department of the state is preparing a proposal for this, which will soon be brought to the cabinet for approval. This facility will be given only to those who do better work. The Deendayal Upadhyaya Sahakarita Kisan Kalyan Yojana has given an interest-free loan of Rs. 624 crore 84 lakh to 90,230 beneficiaries in the financial year 2022-23 in the state. Since the launch of the scheme, loans worth Rs. 4050.44 crore have been disbursed to more than 7 lakh beneficiaries and 4 thousand 347 self-help groups. The state government has set a target of making 1.25 lakh women Lakhpati Didi in the state by the year 2025.
