UP: CM Yogi Adityanath Approves Rs 21.86 Crore for Police Barracks and Hostels
In an effort to provide better living quarters for police personnel posted in various districts of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has approved the construction of barracks, hostels, residential and non-residential buildings, discussion rooms, and police post counseling centers. The CM has approved an amount of over Rs 21.86 crore for nine districts, including Bareilly, Moradabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Mirzapur, Agra, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Etah, and Lucknow.
According to Principal Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad, an amount of Rs 78 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of a Women’s Police Outpost Counseling Center building at Thakurdwara police station in Moradabad district. Additionally, more than Rs 1.06 crore has been spent on the construction of 40-capacity hostels, barracks, and discussion rooms at Amla police station in Bareilly district, while an amount of over Rs 1.71 crore has been approved for the construction of residential buildings of the new police outpost highway approved under Etmadpur police station in Agra district.
Further, an amount of over Rs 1.08 crore has been spent on the construction of 40-capacity hostel, barrack, and discussion room at Jewar police station in district Gautam Buddha Nagar, while Rs 1.07 crore has been approved for the construction of 40-capacity hostel, barrack, and discussion room at Ghunghter police station in district Barabanki. An amount of over Rs 1 crore 65 lakh has been approved for the construction work of barracks with a capacity of 200 persons under construction in district Mirzapur police line, and over Rs 4 crore 74 lakh for the construction of STF office building in district Ayodhya.
Furthermore, an amount of over Rs 1 crore 37 lakh has been approved for the construction work of the residential building of Police Station Phase-I in Sector-5 Haraula, Noida, district Gautam Budh Nagar, and over Rs 2 crore 92 lakh for the construction work of 16 houses. An amount of over Rs 4 crore 38 lakh has been approved for the construction work of a multi-storey sports hostel with a capacity of 150 players in 35th Corps PAC in Lucknow.
Principal Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad has instructed that the approved buildings be constructed with prescribed standards and complete quality as per the instructions of the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
