DelhiDesk: The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested two individuals, Khatri Iqbal Ahmed and Himanshu Pandey, for cheating people by promising them big posts in various ministries and commissions. The accused promised to make a member of the Gujarat Medical Council the chairman of the National Medical Commission in exchange for a hefty amount of money, and even provided a fake appointment letter to the victim. The Under Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare complained to the police, leading to the arrest of the accused. The investigation revealed that both accused had previously been arrested for similar crimes in 2021 and had become active again after their release from jail in December 2022. The police have recovered four mobile phones and other items used in the crime from the accused.
