Chirag Paswan, the Union Minister, has received a traffic challan for overspeeding in Bihar. While travelling from Hajipur to Champaran, his car was caught speeding at a toll plaza. This automatic challan was issued as part of Bihar’s new traffic enforcement system.
New Automatic E-Detection System in Bihar 📸
Bihar’s Transport Department recently launched an automatic e-detection system to improve traffic rule enforcement. This system uses high-tech cameras installed along National Highways to capture images of vehicles that are speeding or breaking other traffic rules. The details are sent directly to the vehicle owner’s registered mobile number.
Heavy Fine for Overspeeding 💰
Due to the overspeeding incident, Chirag Paswan will have to pay a fine of up to Rs 2000. This fine is in line with the penalties set for overspeeding in Delhi as well. The new e-detection system, which started on August 18, aims to ensure that all drivers follow traffic rules seriously.
