Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced a recall for 2,305 units of its Glanza hatchback, which were manufactured between April 2 and October 6, 2019.

The company has identified a potential issue with the fuel tank motor, which could lead to the engine shutting down. Toyota will be contacting the affected vehicle owners and will repair the cars free of charge.

The Glanza hatchback has been performing well in the market, with the company selling 3.65 lakh two-wheelers in a month. It is available in four variants ★E, S, G, and V ★with options for manual and automatic gearboxes. The starting price for the Glanza is Rs 6.86 lakh (ex-showroom).

 

In terms of engine powertrain, the Glanza is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates 89bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. It is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, an AMT unit, and also has a CNG variant.

 

Toyota is also set to unveil its Taisor SUV on April 3, 2024. The Taisor will be based on the Maruti Suzuki Front, but will feature distinct design elements such as a new front grille, redesigned alloy wheels, and updated front and rear bumpers. The interior of the Taisor will also have a new theme.
