DelhiDesk: The Tihar Jail Administration has sent a proposal to the Delhi government to shift gangsters lodged in Tihar Jail to other secure jails in the country, citing security reasons. The proposal suggests amending the Transfer of Prisoner Act to allow prisoners to be shifted from one state to another without the permission of the state government. The move comes after the murders of gangsters Tillu Tajpuria and Prince Tewatia raised questions about the security system in Tihar Jail. Currently, there are more than 10 gangsters and over 100 of their associates detained in Tihar Jail.
