Auto News Desk ★According to a recent SIAM report, Skoda-Volkswagen has issued a recall for four of its models: Skoda Kushaq, Slavia, and Volkswagen Tiguan and Virtus. A total of 52 vehicles manufactured between November 29, 2023, and January 20, 2024, are affected. Here’s what you need to know about the recall.

Skoda-Volkswagen Recall: The Issue

Welding problems have been identified in the track control arms of these models, creating potential safety risks. Drivers may experience sudden loss of vehicle control, which could lead to accidents. This recall is in accordance with guidelines from India’s Ministry of Heavy Industries.

Vehicles Affected by the Recall

All affected vehicles were manufactured in Chakan, Pune. Skoda has identified 14 Kushaq and Slavia vehicles, while Volkswagen has identified 38 Tiguan and Virtus models. Owners will be contacted individually for repairs, which are expected to be free of charge. The Kushaq model, recently seen testing on Indian roads, may receive updates such as ADAS and a 360° camera in its upcoming facelift.
