The list of the top-selling 7-seater cars in July 2024 is out. In the Indian market, 15 different models were sold in this segment last month. Mahindra had the most entries with four models, while Maruti and Toyota each had three models. Tata, Kia, Hyundai, Citroën, and Renault each had one model in the list.
Once again, Maruti Ertiga topped the list, outperforming strong contenders like the Mahindra Scorpio, Toyota Innova, Kia Carens, Toyota Fortuner, and Tata Safari. Let’s take a look at the sales figures.

Maruti Ertiga: Features and Specifications
Maruti Ertiga, a budget-friendly MPV, is equipped with a 1.5-liter petrol engine that delivers 103PS of power and 137Nm of torque. It also offers a CNG option.
The petrol variant gives a mileage of 20.51 kmpl, while the CNG variant offers an impressive 26.11 km/kg. Key features include paddle shifters, automatic headlights, auto air conditioning, and cruise control. The starting ex-showroom price of the Ertiga is ₹8.69 lakh.
The Ertiga now comes with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of the previous 7-inch unit. This system is powered by Suzuki’s SmartPlay Pro technology, which supports voice commands and connected car technology.
Connected car features include vehicle tracking, tow-away alert and tracking, geo-fencing, over-speeding alert, and remote functions. It also has a 360-degree surround-view camera.
