Telecom Companies Launch New Recharge Plans

Recently, following the directive from TRAI, various telecom companies have introduced new recharge plans specifically for users who primarily rely on calling and SMS services. TRAI had pointed out that most existing plans were heavily focused on data, urging companies to create options that cater to calling and messaging needs as well.

Airtel’s New Plans

Airtel has rolled out two new recharge plans. The first plan is priced at Rs 469, offering users 84 days of validity. This plan includes unlimited voice calling, 900 SMS, and additional benefits like three months of Apollo 24/7 Circle Membership and a free Hello Tune. The daily cost of this plan works out to around Rs 5.50.

The second plan is priced at Rs 1849 and provides unlimited calling along with 3600 SMS, valid for a full year (365 days).

Jio’s Offerings

Jio has also launched two plans. The first is an 84-day plan available for Rs 448, which includes unlimited calling and 1000 SMS for the entire validity period.

The second plan costs Rs 1784 and offers unlimited calling and 3600 SMS for 336 days, roughly translating to about 11 months of service. Both Jio plans also come with access to Jio TV, Jio Cinema, and Jio Cloud.

VI’s Plans

VI has introduced two similar plans as well. The first plan is priced at Rs 470, providing 84 days of validity with unlimited calling and 900 SMS. The effective daily rate for this plan is approximately Rs 5.60.

Their second plan is Rs 1849, valid for 365 days, and offers unlimited calling along with 3600 SMS. This plan costs around Rs 5 per day but does not include any additional facilities.

Overall, these new plans cater to the needs of users looking for value in calling and messaging, reflecting the recent changes in the telecom landscape.
