Maruti Suzuki, known for its most popular and best-selling hatchback car, the Swift, is all set to launch its new hybrid model. Recently showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2023, the Swift Hybrid is expected to hit the Indian market early next year. Let’s dive into the details that make this car a potential game-changer.
1. New Dimensions
The 2024 Swift Hybrid will be 15mm longer than the current model, measuring 3860mm in length. While the width is reduced to 1695mm and the height to 1500mm, the wheelbase remains unchanged at 2450mm.
2. Improved Mileage
The non-hybrid CVT variant of the 2024 Swift offers a mileage of 23.4Kmpl, which is 1.02Kmpl more than the current Swift MT. The hybrid CVT variant further boosts the mileage to 24.5Kmpl.
3. Engine Specifications
Replacing the K12C unit, the new 1.2L three-cylinder NA Z12E petrol engine will be paired with a mild hybrid system for better fuel efficiency. This technology will be available in MZ and MX trims, while the XG grade remains non-hybrid.
4. Color Options
The new-generation Swift will come in 13 color options, including 9 single-tone and 4 dual-tone shades. This range offers a variety of choices to suit different tastes.
5. Cabin Upgrades
Though retaining many existing components, the Swift Hybrid will feature a new dashboard, a 10-inch display for the infotainment system, and redesigned AC console and steering wheel.
