Greater Noida to Ghaziabad Elevated Road Survey
The Greater Noida Authority is taking steps to address traffic jams by planning an elevated road from Shahberry to Cross Republic. This will help improve connectivity between Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
Recently, a team from the authority conducted a survey along this route to finalize the construction of the elevated road. Unfortunately, it has been noted that around 1000 houses are located on the proposed path, and these homes will need to be removed for the project to move forward.
Work on Detailed Project Report Begins
The authority’s team has identified the residential areas that will be affected by the construction. The proposed elevated road will stretch from Sector-4 Shahberry village in Greater Noida West to Crossing Republic in Ghaziabad. In addition to the survey, work has also started on the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for this road project. The Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) has already completed a terrestrial inspection and is involved in the planning process.
Two Designs for the Elevated Road
CRRI has assessed traffic conditions and provided a report to the Greater Noida Authority. They are now working on the DPR for the elevated road. The authority has received two design proposals from CRRI.
According to an official from the Greater Noida Authority, the two designs propose an elevated road that is 800 meters long. The first design suggests a width of 14 meters, while the second design proposes a width of 16 meters. The authority has given CRRI a month to finalize the DPR for the elevated road.
