Stations will provide special facilities for disabled and elderly individuals.

Ghaziabad is set to begin train operations on the 17 km long priority section of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor from next week. The stations along the corridor are equipped with lift and escalator facilities for the convenience of passengers. Special arrangements have been made for the elderly, disabled, and women to ensure their easy access to the platforms.

The five depot stations on this section are Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, and Duhai. All necessary infrastructure, from entry to exit gates, has been put in place at these stations. The high-speed trains on this route will cover the distance from Sahibabad to Duhai in just 12 minutes.

The commencement of RapidX train services from Sahibabad to Duhai will greatly benefit students studying in nearby cities, villages, and educational institutions. The stations are designed with three levels ★ground, concourse, and platform. Rajnagar and Rajnagar Extension are located near the Guldhar station, which will cater to the needs of the people in these areas. Ghaziabad station will benefit the local population, employees of nearby industrial units in Sahibabad, and residents of Vasundhara. Duhai station is equipped with four escalators and four lifts for ease of access. The station’s proximity to IT education institutes further enhances connectivity.
