Simple Energy to Launch Two New Models of Electric Scooters
The electric scooter segment in India is growing rapidly, with many models available in the market. Simple Energy is set to launch two new models of electric scooters in the coming months, according to company founder Suhas Rajkumar. The most important aspect of these models will be their aggressive pricing and increased range, making them the company’s cheapest models. Simple Energy is also preparing to raise Rs 10 crore in funding to add new investors.
In addition to the two new scooters, Simple Energy plans to expand its portfolio by introducing three new low-cost electric scooters in the next three years. The company also plans to launch an electric car and a performance bike during this time.
The first premium EV from Simple Energy, the Simple One, was launched on May 21, with bookings already underway. The ex-showroom price for the Simple One is Rs 1,45,000. The upcoming scooters from Simple Energy are expected to compete with the electric scooters of Ola, which may also launch a new model in the near future, increasing competition in the market.
