The market witnessed a rise in 1640 shares, a fall in 1340 shares, and no change in 137 shares. The top gainers in the Nifty included Tata Consumer Products, UltraTech Cement, ICICI Bank, HUL, and Cipla, while the top losers were Adani Enterprises, HDFC Life, Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel, and TCS.
Sectoral indices, excluding metals and power, were trading in the green. The auto, pharma, FMCG, and capital goods sectors were trading with a 0.5% rise.
Some of the other highlights of the market at 10 am include:
– The Nifty Bank index was down by 0.07% at 34,019.60.
– The Nifty IT index was down by 0.02% at 33,702.30.
– The Nifty Metal index was up by 0.10% at 5,263.25.
– The Nifty PSU Bank index was up by 0.32% at 2,474.60.
