Out of the 3,664 companies that traded on the BSE, 1,749 shares closed with gains, and 1,779 shares closed with a decline. The share price of 136 companies remained unchanged. The rupee closed at 82.18 rupees against the dollar, with a weakness of 8 paise.
Top gainers and losers of Nifty
The shares of Apollo Hospitals, Devi Labs, Dr Reddy Labs, Cipla, and BPCL closed with gains, while Hero MotoCorp, IndusInd Bank, Wipro, SBI, and Kotak Mahindra closed with losses.
