Seamless Connectivity Planned For Noida International Airport: 17 Western Up Districts Set For Direct Bus Services Before Flights Begin

Enhanced Connectivity to Noida International Airport

Preparations are underway to improve connectivity from 17 districts of western Uttar Pradesh to the upcoming Noida International Airport. The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) is collaborating to create a route chart for bus services. A proposal for operating roadway buses will soon be submitted to the government, and the buses will start running once approval is granted. This initiative aims to make it easier for people to travel to the airport.

An official from the authority shared that flights are expected to commence in April from another international airport located in the National Capital Region. The new airport, which will serve western Uttar Pradesh, is also set to become a key transport hub, facilitating travel to various parts of the country and abroad. It is anticipated that passengers from a radius of 150 km around the airport, including around 24 districts from Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi, will benefit from this connectivity.

Easy Access from Various Districts

The bus services will connect Noida International Airport with several districts, including Meerut, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Hapur, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Aligarh, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mathura, and Mainpuri. Plans are in place to launch these bus services before the commencement of flights. Additionally, future plans include extending bus routes to Gurugram, Jhajjar, Rewari, Rohtak, Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Faridabad, Palwal, Mewat (Noon), Bhiwani, and Mahendragarh.

City Bus Service Routes

Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Authority have outlined a plan for city bus services that includes 23 routes, with all buses set to be electric. These buses will be equipped with safety features such as CCTV cameras, GPS trackers, and air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable travel experience. The buses will also have high-resolution cameras, power brakes, and emergency kits for added safety.

Shailendra Bhatia, the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of Yamuna Authority, stated that the route chart is being prepared to facilitate bus operations across four divisions of western Uttar Pradesh. The final number of buses will be decided by UPSRTC, with plans to begin operations prior to the launch of flights.
