Minister Bhardwaj revealed that officials have been misleading and non-responsive regarding outstanding payments. In January 2023, it came to the attention of the then Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, that private hospitals were owed approximately Rs 24.5 crore. Despite writing a letter to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on January 24, requesting information on payment timelines, no response was received. An investigation has been ordered to address this matter.

Plans are being stopped as part of a well-planned conspiracy – Bhardwaj

Expressing his frustration, Minister Bhardwaj questioned the motives of these officials and their opposition to the public. He raised concerns about why senior officials would want to stop a scheme launched by the Delhi government and emphasized that it appears to be part of a well-planned conspiracy.

The Farishte scheme has been instrumental in providing timely medical assistance to accident victims. However, the non-payment of bills to private hospitals threatens the future of the scheme. It is crucial for the Delhi government to address these allegations and ensure that the Farishte scheme continues to save lives effectively.
