Royal Enfield recently released the first official teaser video of the much-awaited Himalayan 450. The adventure tourer will be powered by a 450 cc single-cylinder engine, capable of producing approximately 40 HP of power. The launch of the Himalayan 450 is scheduled for November 1, 2023, just in time for the festive season.
Leaked Images and Design
Pictures of the Himalayan 450 Adventure Tourer have been leaked before its debut. The design of the new model takes an evolutionary approach compared to the existing Himalayan 411. The LED headlamp unit features a silver casing, while the engine area, frame, and body panels are finished in black, giving it a sporty look. The leaked images also reveal a tall transparent windscreen and a dual-tone red and white fuel tank. Other features include black split seats, a luggage rack, and a range of touring accessories.
Competition and Pricing
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will compete against the Triumph Scrambler 400X, BMW G310 GS, and KTM 390 Adventure X. It is expected to be priced around 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom). This model will be the first modern 450cc offering from Royal Enfield.
Features and Specifications
The Himalayan 450 will come equipped with an all-new all-digital instrument console with a Tripper navigation system. It will also feature LED tail lamps and turn signals, a 21-inch wire-spoke wheel at the front, and a 17-inch block pattern tire at the rear. The bike will have upside-down front forks, monoshock rear suspension, and a lighter chassis compared to its predecessor.
