After more than four years on sale, Renault is preparing a mid‑cycle refresh for its popular compact SUV, the Kiger. The facelift is expected in August or September and will give the car a sharper look and new features while retaining its punchy turbo petrol engine.

Industry reports suggest the new Kiger will get a redesigned front bumper, a sleeker grille, and updated LED daytime running lamps. New 16‑inch diamond‑cut alloy wheels and a fresh rear bumper will give the SUV a sportier stance. Inside, expect a larger nine‑inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, a 360‑degree camera and wireless phone charging. Cabin materials and seat upholstery may also see an upgrade.

Mechanically, the Kiger facelift is likely to continue with the familiar 1.0‑litre turbo‑petrol engine that produces around 100 PS and 152 Nm of torque, paired with a choice of five‑speed manual or CVT automatic transmissions. Renault could refine the engine for smoother power delivery and better fuel efficiency. Prices are expected to rise slightly over the current model but should remain competitive in the crowded sub‑4‑metre SUV segment.

Key highlights:
– Sporty new front fascia with updated grille and LED DRLs
– 16‑inch diamond‑cut alloy wheels and refreshed rear bumper
– Bigger nine‑inch touchscreen, 360‑degree camera and wireless phone charger
– Same turbo‑petrol engine with possible tweaks for improved efficiency
– Expected launch around August/September 2025

With these upgrades, the Kiger aims to remain a value‑packed SUV for young urban buyers. The facelift will bring the model closer to newer rivals in terms of technology and style while keeping the lively driving character that made it popular.
