The ICE-powered Tata Punch facelift is set for its grand debut in India in mid-2024. With an updated front fascia and new interior features, the Punch facelift has been creating quite a buzz. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Tata Punch facelift.
Sleek and Stylish Exterior
The Tata Punch facelift has been spotted undergoing testing, giving us a sneak peek of its new look. The front fascia, inspired by the recently launched Punch EV, features a split-headlamp setup with LED DRLs and a tweaked bumper.
The design aligns closely with its siblings, the Nexon, Safari, and Harrier. However, it will not include a full-width LED light bar at the front. The side and rear profiles remain largely unchanged, but it is expected to sport newly designed alloy wheels.
Modernized Interior
Inside the cabin, the Tata Punch facelift promises significant upgrades. It will likely feature a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster, an air purifier, and ventilated front seats.
Additionally, the compact SUV will continue to offer automatic AC, cruise control, and a sunroof, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious ride.
Power and Performance
Under the hood, the Punch facelift retains its reliable 1.2-litre, three-cylinder NA petrol engine, producing 86 hp of max power and 113 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with either a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
For those looking for a more economical option, the Punch is also available in a CNG variant that generates 73.4 hp and 103 Nm torque, paired with a five-speed manual transmission only.
Advanced Safety Features
Safety is a top priority for Tata Motors, and the Punch facelift is no exception. It is expected to come equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including a 360-degree camera, Electronic Stability Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Blind Spot Monitoring, and six airbags. These features ensure that the Punch facelift provides a safe and secure driving experience.
Pricing and Competition
Expected to be priced between Rs 6 lakh – Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tata Punch facelift aims to offer great value for money. It will compete with other compact SUVs in the Indian market, such as the Hyundai Exter.
