Today’s weather: Rain may disrupt Rakshabandhan celebrations in many states, including Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, according to the latest forecast from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD has predicted good rainfall for most states in North-West, West, Central, East, and North-East India this week, with many districts in Madhya Pradesh also experiencing heavy humidity.

Skymet Weather has forecasted light to moderate rain in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Telangana, parts of Odisha, North East India, and Lakshadweep on Monday. Additionally, similar weather conditions are expected in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and South East Rajasthan. Light rain may also occur in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Karnataka.

The Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rain in various regions, including Jammu division on 19th August, Himachal Pradesh and Western Uttar Pradesh until 21st August, Uttarakhand until 24th August, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh until 20th and 21st August, Eastern Uttar Pradesh from 21st to 24th August, East Rajasthan from 22nd to 24th August, Madhya Pradesh throughout the week, Vidarbha until 24th August, Chhattisgarh until 20th, 23rd, and 24th August, and many other regions.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in Bihar until August 23, Jharkhand until August 21, Odisha until August 20, 23, and 24, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim until August 21, Gangetic West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Coastal Karnataka, and South Interior Karnataka until various dates in August.
