In an important update for job seekers aiming to join Indian Railways, the Railway Recruitment Board has released the schedule for its Ministerial and Isolated category recruitment exams. The Computer Based Test (CBT) for these positions will be conducted from 10 to 12 September 2025 across multiple shifts in designated exam centres nationwide. There are 1,036 vacancies in this recruitment drive, spread across a diverse range of posts such as postgraduate teachers (PGT) in subjects like physics, chemistry, political science and French, trained graduate teachers (TGT), laboratory assistants, primary teachers, scientific supervisors, music teacher for women, librarian, junior translator (Hindi), welfare inspector, public prosecutor, chief law assistant and senior publicity inspectors, among others.
Candidates will be able to download their exam city intimation slip roughly ten days before the scheduled exam date via their respective regional RRB websites. The official admit card (e‑call letter) will be released four days before the exam and must be presented at the test centre along with valid identification. The RRB has introduced Aadhaar‑based biometric verification for this recruitment cycle to ensure transparency and prevent impersonation. Applicants are therefore advised to ensure that their Aadhaar details are updated and that any biometric locks on their Aadhaar numbers are removed well in advance of the examination.
The RRB has also reminded candidates to pay close attention to the instructions on the call letter regarding reporting time, COVID‑appropriate behaviour and items permitted inside the exam hall. Mock tests are available on regional RRB websites to familiarise candidates with the CBT format. As the exams draw closer, candidates should stay updated through official sources and avoid rumours circulating on social media. The Ministerial and Isolated category recruitment offers a broad range of roles within the Indian Railways, and diligent preparation combined with adherence to the RRB’s guidelines will help aspirants put their best foot forward come September.
