Oyo has introduced a new feature that can help travelers plan their trips without any financial burden. The Stay Now Pay Later option allows users to pay hotel expenses up to Rs. 5,000 later, and the payment can be made after 15 days of the stay. This feature is currently only available for Android users, but it will soon be made available for iOS users as well. Oyo has partnered with Simple, a credit-based payments service, for this option.
The Stay Now Pay Later option is listed on the home screen of the Oyo app, and users can choose the SNPL plan as per their requirement. Oyo used 10% of its user base to test this new feature, and it was revealed that more than 40% of users used the Stay Now Pay Later option for transactions above Rs. 2,000.
Last month, Oyo released the Summer Vacation Index 2023 report, which revealed that 82% of Indians are planning to travel this summer, and 92% of them are planning to travel within the country instead of abroad. This time, 34% of people have given priority to hanging out with family, while 25% preferred traveling with friends, and 9% preferred traveling alone.
