Delhi NCR are ready for next generation and travelling transit system experience. A new bullet train line facility is going to start from Delhi to Meerut where all the provision has been done.
The much-anticipated Nammo Bharat train service is set to begin operations from Modi Nagar North Station to Meerut South Station. Shalabh Goyal, Managing Director of NCRTC, announced this development on Monday during an inspection of the RRTS corridor from Meerut South Station to Sarai Kale Khan Station in Delhi.
Meerut South Station Ready for Operations
Goyal confirmed that Meerut South Station is ready and will soon see the commencement of Nammo Bharat train services. During his inspection, he also evaluated the preparations for the station’s operations, including a review of the parking facilities.
Meerut Metro to Start from Meerut South Station
In addition to the Nammo Bharat trains, Goyal mentioned that the Meerut Metro will also start from this station. The metro will run from Meerut South to Modipuram, aimed at making life more comfortable for the residents of Meerut.
Platform Arrangements
The station features three platforms: two designated for Nammo Bharat trains and one for the Meerut Metro.
