vida vx2 confirmed coming

Hero MotoCorp is all set to expand its electric scooter portfolio with the launch of the new Vida VX2 on July 1, 2025. Expected to be positioned below the existing Vida V2, the VX2 range will cater to customers looking for a stylish, urban-friendly, and affordable electric two-wheeler.

The VX2 was previously referred to as the Vida Z during its EICMA 2024 and Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 showcases, but leaked images from a Vida dealership confirm that the production model will carry the VX2 Plus badge.

🎨 Refreshed Design Elements with Familiar Underpinnings

The VX2 Plus carries forward most design traits from the Vida V2 lineup but with its own unique touches. Spotted in a matte yellow single-tone finish, the scooter features:

  • LED headlamp, tail lamp, and sharp turn indicators

  • 12-inch dual-tone alloy wheels

  • Front disc brake

  • Telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers

While the platform appears shared with the V2, the revised front apron omits the side extensions for a cleaner, more minimalist look. A new tail lamp position, single-piece stepped seat, and tubular grab rail distinguish the VX2 visually.

📱 Digital Console with Tweaks, No Keyless Entry

The leaked dealership images also reveal a smaller digital dashboard with joystick controls on the left-hand switchgear, front storage space, and an SOS switch for emergencies. However, unlike some rivals, keyless ignition is not available; a traditional key will be used for starting the scooter.

🔋 Multiple Battery Options, 165 km Range in Top Variant

The VX2 lineup will be available in multiple variants, similar to the V2 series. These include:

Variant Battery Pack Claimed IDC Range Top Speed
VX2 Lite 2.2 kWh 94 km 69 kmph
VX2 Plus 3.44 kWh 143 km 85 kmph
VX2 Pro 3.94 kWh (est.) 165 km 90 kmph

The VX2 Pro, expected to sit at the top, can sprint from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.9 seconds, while maintaining a practical, commuter-friendly riding experience.

💰 Affordable Entry Point into the Vida Ecosystem

The VX2 range will offer a more affordable entry point into Hero MotoCorp’s Vida electric scooter ecosystem. By omitting some of the premium features like large touchscreens and keyless start, the VX2 caters to budget-conscious urban riders.

🏍️ Hero’s Expanding EV Strategy

With the launch of the VX2, Hero MotoCorp continues its strategy of diversifying its EV offerings. The Vida electric brand is already available in multiple Indian cities and has garnered positive responses for its range and performance.

The VX2 launch will further intensify competition in the electric two-wheeler space, especially against rivals like TVS iQube, Ather 450X, and Bajaj Chetak, by offering a high-range, attractively priced alternative.
