Good news for Nammo Bharat train passengers. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has issued tenders to provide home-commute facilities for travelers.
Variety of Transport Options
Passengers will have access to feeder bus services, cars, autos, two-wheelers, and bicycles at Nammo Bharat stations. Depending on their distance and needs, travelers can choose the most suitable mode of transport.
Environment-Friendly Vehicles
All these vehicles will be powered by CNG and electricity. To promote green energy, NCRTC will also offer battery swapping facilities at all Nammo Bharat stations.
Last-Mile Connectivity Tenders Issued
To ensure maximum convenience for Nammo Bharat users, NCRTC has released tenders for last-mile connectivity services. The number of different types of vehicles has been specified for each station, covering the stretch from Jangpura Depot in Delhi to Modipuram Depot.
Easy Booking via Mobile App
Travelers will be able to book these vehicles through a dedicated mobile app. This will allow for seamless planning and convenience, ensuring a smoother transition from train to home.
Battery Swapping and Charging Stations
In a bid to encourage the use of electric vehicles, battery swapping centers will be set up. Private electric vehicles, along with commercial ones, will have charging facilities at the stations. An Expression of Interest (EOI) has already been issued for the battery swapping centers.
Extensive Transport Options
Five shuttle bus services will be available. Each station will have 10 pre-paid taxis and 20 pre-paid autos stationed for passenger convenience. NCRTC will assist vehicle companies with route planning and obtaining local administrative approvals.
