The construction of Noida International Airport is all set to gain speed with the initiation of its third phase of development. Authorities have begun the groundwork to acquire over 1,850 hectares of land, paving the way for a significant infrastructure boost in the region.
The district administration has initiated proceedings under Section 11 of the Land Acquisition Act, beginning with detailed surveys of the affected villages. Emphasis is being laid on a transparent and timely process to ensure smooth relocation and rehabilitation of residents.
Villages Identified for Acquisition; Comprehensive Survey and Verification Underway
As part of the third-phase expansion, land will be acquired from 14 villages, including Karauli Bangar, Dayanatpur, Banwariwas, Ranhera, and Parohi. A total of 1,857.7706 hectares will be acquired for the project.
District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma is personally overseeing the proceedings, with revenue and administrative officials conducting detailed assessments of affected families. Focused meetings are being held to ensure effective rehabilitation and resettlement of displaced residents.
Yamuna City to Become Electronics Manufacturing Hub; Investment and Employment on the Rise
Meanwhile, Yamuna Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and the PM Gati Shakti Board have confirmed plans to develop Yamuna City as a major hub for electronics manufacturing. A new electronic equipment manufacturing cluster is to be developed in Sector 10, with an estimated investment of ₹4,000 crore.
Anchor investor S.E. Asia Group has already committed to setting up operations, promising to generate over 5,000 jobs in the area. The move is expected to attract additional investments and accelerate economic activity in the Yamuna Expressway region.
Elevated Road to Connect Shahberi; Detailed Project Report (DPR) in Progress
Greater Noida: In a parallel development, the government has started preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the construction of a new elevated road connecting Shahberi. The road will be around 6 km in length and will help decongest traffic between Noida West and other growing residential areas.
The DPR is being prepared by the Indian National Highways Authority (NHAI), and officials have stated that a final plan is expected to be ready by March next year. The elevated road will address long-standing traffic bottlenecks and provide a seamless transit corridor between Shahberi and Greater Noida West.
