He urged all departments to work together effectively. One of the key decisions was to ensure that all two-wheeler drivers wear helmets and four-wheeler drivers use seat belts. A strict ‘No Helmet, No Fuel’ campaign will be enforced, meaning two-wheelers without helmets will not get fuel at petrol stations.
Safety Measures for School Vehicles 🚌
The District Magistrate highlighted that no school vehicle should operate without a fitness certificate. The Transport and Education Departments were instructed to take necessary action. Special attention will also be given to the health check-up of drivers.
Awareness Campaigns for Everyone 📢
A village-to-village traffic awareness campaign will be launched to make road safety a community effort. Meetings with Gram Panchayats and cooperation from health workers will help inform the public about traffic rules. Additionally, steps will be taken to remove stray animals from roads and address unauthorized vehicles.
