Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced a visionary move to eliminate traditional toll booths nationwide, transitioning to a system where toll charges are automatically deducted from drivers’ bank accounts using GPS technology installed in vehicles.

The GPS-Based Toll Collection System

To support drivers in case of discrepancies or wrongful toll deductions, NHAI provides a helpline for immediate assistance.
Despite the convenience offered by Fastag, users have encountered challenges such as incorrect or double deductions.
