New Routes and Developments:

  • A new Vande Bharat train is slated for launch in Kerala, marking the third such train in the state. This train is expected to travel between Ernakulam in Kerala and Bengaluru in Karnataka, benefiting residents of both states.

 

  • The train, identified as train number 04094, will operate from Anand Vihar Terminal to Patna, completing 18 round trips. It will run every Monday from April 29 to June 24. The return train, numbered 04093, will operate every Tuesday from April 30 to June 25.

 

  • Currently, Kerala operates two Vande Bharat trains: one from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod and another from Thiruvananthapuram to Mangalore.
  • Last month, ten new Vande Bharat trains were launched, serving various routes including Dehradun-Lucknow, Patna-Lucknow, and Ranchi-Varanasi.

 

  • In the last week of December, six Vande Bharat trains were flagged off from Ayodhya, covering routes like Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to New Delhi, Amritsar to Delhi, Coimbatore to Bengaluru Cantt, Mangalore to Madgaon, and Jalna to Mumbai.
