Noida is set to witness a significant boost in its transportation facilities with the approval of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the new metro line stretching from Sector 142 to Botanical Garden in Sector-38A. This decision, taken in a recent board meeting of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC), marks a new direction in the development of public transport in the region.
Metro Line Expansion Details
- Route and Stations: The new metro line will feature a total of eight elevated stations. This addition is expected to enhance connectivity between various parts of Noida, making travel more efficient for residents and visitors.
- Cost and Length: The projected cost of this undertaking is ₹2254.35 crores, and it spans a total length of 11.56 kilometers.
- Beneficiary Areas: In its first phase, the metro line is expected to benefit approximately 80,000 people, especially residents of sectors 44, 45, 97, 99, 100, 104, 105, 108, and 93.
- Next Steps: The DPR will now be presented in the board meeting of the Noida Authority and subsequently sent to the government for final approval.
