Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Airport’s new technical block cum control tower has started functioning, which will ease the traffic management of planes and ensure security. The Shadow operation has just started, and it will be effective till 20th June 2023. Airport Director KL Aggarwal estimated that the new technical block cum control tower would be fully operational from the last week of June. The Airports Authority of India issued the details of flight movement from Birsa Munda Airport in the summer season, effective from June 10, 2023. According to this schedule, 35 aircraft will operate from Ranchi airport to different cities of the country.
The new control tower has been built in Rs 10.34 crore, with a height of 35.45 meters, and an almost double area of the old technical block and control tower. This tower will enhance the functioning of the airport and ensure the safe movement of planes. Ranchi airport is one of the major airports in Jharkhand, and this new tower will be a significant addition to its infrastructure.

The parking charges depend on the type of vehicle, with the highest charges for SUVs and the lowest for two-wheelers.
