Royal Enfield is gearing up to introduce significant updates to its Classic series motorcycles in India. The Classic 350 and Classic 650 are set to receive facelifts that promise to enhance their design and technical specifications.
2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350: Enhancements and Features
The Classic 350, transitioning to the new ‘J’ platform, will see its first major update with anticipated cosmetic changes aimed at modernizing its appearance. These include the introduction of all-LED lighting and new alloy wheels equipped with tubeless tires.
While the engine specifications are expected to remain consistent with the current model, the 349cc single-cylinder air-cooled, fuel-injected engine will continue to power the bike. This engine setup is shared with the Royal Enfield Meteor and includes a counter-balancer shaft to reduce vibrations.
The motorcycle will produce 20.2bhp of power and 27Nm of torque. Standard features will include telescopic front forks, twin gas-charged rear suspension, and dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.
2024 Royal Enfield Classic 650: Design and Comfort Upgrades
Mirroring the Classic 350 in design, the Classic 650 will feature aesthetic elements such as a chrome-rimmed round headlight, signature pilot lamps, and round indicators.
Upgrades will include more comfortable seating arrangements, mid-set footpegs, and a taller handlebar for better riding ergonomics compared to the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
Additional stylish features include pea-shooter exhaust pipes, chrome throttle body covers, and a redesigned round taillight.
Pricing Expectations
The 2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350 is projected to maintain a pricing strategy similar to the existing model. In contrast, the Classic 650 is expected to be priced competitively within the range of Rs 3.3 lakh to Rs 3.7 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it as an attractive option in the midsize motorcycle market segment.
