NCRTC Introduces Discounts for Namo Bharat Train Passengers

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has announced a new initiative to provide some relief to passengers traveling by the Namo Bharat train. Now, travelers using the NCMC card will receive a 10 percent discount on each trip. Although this discount may not seem significant, it is a step towards easing travel costs for commuters.

Details of the Loyalty Points Program

This initiative is part of the recently launched Loyalty Points Program. Passengers can enjoy discounts on tickets purchased through the ‘Namo Bharat’ mobile app. With this program, travelers can accumulate loyalty points based on their travel expenses, which will be credited to their NCMC accounts.

Under the Loyalty Points Program, passengers earn one point for every rupee spent on their journeys using the NCMC card. Each loyalty point is valued at 0.10 (10 paise). For example, if a passenger spends Rs 100 on a trip, they will earn 100 points, equating to a discount of Rs 10 on future travels.

Benefits for Millions of Passengers

The NCRTC’s initiative aims to benefit millions of commuters. By encouraging digital ticketing through the Namo Bharat app, the program not only offers financial savings but also promotes a paperless travel experience, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future.

Regular passengers of the Namo Bharat trains will find this Loyalty Program particularly advantageous, as they can accumulate points with every trip, making their journeys more economical.

Encouraging App Usage

To enhance the travel experience, passengers are encouraged to download the Namo Bharat Mobile App. New users will receive Rs 50 (equal to 500 loyalty points) upon downloading the app. Additionally, users can earn an extra 500 loyalty points by referring the app to others. Both the referrer and the referee will benefit, receiving Rs 50 each that will be credited to their respective accounts.

All loyalty points earned will remain valid for one year from the date of credit, encouraging regular travel and engagement with the app. The Namo Bharat app is available for download on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
