Speed and Efficiency
The Namo Bharat trains will run at a maximum speed of 180 km/h, reducing travel time significantly. A journey from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut is expected to take just 50-60 minutes, making this a faster and more efficient alternative to road travel, which currently takes much longer due to traffic congestion.
Timeline for Operations
The trial phase will start in November 2024, with the entire corridor expected to become operational by mid-2025. The project aims to provide a modern, fast, and efficient transit option for commuters between Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut, significantly easing traffic and providing a reliable alternative to road transport.
By connecting key stations and offering seamless integration with the Delhi Metro, the Namo Bharat service will provide improved connectivity and convenience for passengers traveling between these major cities in the National Capital Region.
