Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman recently stated that India remained corruption-free during the nine years of the Modi government at the center, while Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is running a government of corruption. Speaking at the Sarva Samaj Sammelan organized in Gandhi Nagar, Sitharaman praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts in ensuring the welfare of the poor during the pandemic and for taking concrete steps towards development.

Sitharaman noted that despite the collapse of the global economy due to the COVID-19 pandemic, India emerged as the fastest-growing country. She expressed confidence that India will continue to progress in the future.

The Finance Minister highlighted that the Modi government has taken many concrete steps towards development with the “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas” initiative, even during the pandemic. The government provided financial aid to poor families and worked towards eradicating poverty by providing basic facilities such as houses, gas cylinders, toilets, and sanitation.

Sitharaman criticized Kejriwal for going to court to defame the central government in the name of a lack of oxygen during the pandemic. She noted that when the central government supplied oxygen, the Delhi government did not even have the arrangement to keep it. Additionally, the Mohalla Clinic was closed during the pandemic, showcasing Kejriwal’s failure.

H3: State BJP President and MP Gautam Gambhir’s Statements

State BJP President Virendra Sachdeva stated that the people of Delhi have seen the lawlessness of Arvind Kejriwal in the last eight years and will not tolerate it. MP Gautam Gambhir mentioned that the biggest challenge for them was the Ghazipur landfill site, which they have reduced by 30 to 40 percent.
