MG Motor is all set to launch its new electric car, Windsor, in the Indian market. The company is revealing its features one by one, increasing curiosity among customers. Earlier, the company mentioned that the back seat can be reclined.
Now, they have announced that it will feature a panoramic glass roof, making it the first electric car in its segment with this feature.
This is the same electric car that the company will give to all players who win medals in the Olympics. Outside India, it is sold under different names like Cloud EV in Indonesia and other markets. Some changes will be made to suit the Indian model.

MG Motor has released some teasers regarding Windsor EV. They have teased the panoramic glass roof, which will be special in its price segment. The car will be launched on September 11.
🛋️ Comfortable Rear Passenger Compartment
MG has shown the rear passenger compartment of Windsor EV, revealing many features. It includes rear AC vents, a 3-passenger rear seat with dedicated 3-point seat belts for all, a rear center armrest, and faux leather seats with large honeycomb pattern stitching.
MG Motor India says that the rear seats can be reclined up to 135 degrees. The teaser also shows large rear legroom, which looks quite good for a 5-passenger vehicle.
🔋 Impressive Range of 460km
The company has not yet revealed the specifications for the Windsor coming to India, but in the foreign market, it is available in two battery pack options: 37.9kWh and 50.6kWh. The 37.9kWh range is up to 360km, and the 50.6kWh range is up to 460km.
These models are operated by a permanent magnet synchronized motor, producing a power output of 134hp. MG Motor India has confirmed that the battery and powertrain components in Windsor will be sourced from Indian suppliers.
💰 Affordable Pricing Below Rs 20 Lakh
According to the company’s dealer sources, Windsor will be launched around September 16, and its sale will start from September itself. The price of this electric car will be less than Rs 20 lakh. In the Indian market, it will compete directly with models like Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV, Tata’s Curve EV, and Mahindra XUV400 EV.
