Starting August 1, HDFC Bank will introduce several changes to its credit card policies, directly affecting its credit card holders. Notably, a 1% charge will be imposed on all rental transactions made through third-party payment apps like PayTM, CRED, MobiKwik, and Cheq.

The maximum limit for this charge will be ₹3,000 per transaction. Additionally, the charge for educational transactions made via third-party apps will also increase to 1%. However, transactions made directly through the college or school’s website or their POS machines, as well as international educational payments, will not incur this fee.
