Commuters traveling on the Greater Noida Expressway between the Mahamaya Flyover and Sector-18 Loop will experience significant traffic diversions starting Friday night. The reason: repair work on a damaged water supply pipeline in this stretch. According to officials, the repair work will begin at 9 PM Friday night and continue until Saturday morning.
Vehicles to be Diverted Towards Botanical Garden
Due to the ongoing repairs, vehicles heading towards DND Flyway and Chilla will not be allowed to use their usual routes. Instead, traffic will be diverted through alternative paths. Specifically, vehicles traveling from the expressway towards Sector-18, DND, and Chilla will be rerouted via the Mahamaya Flyover, passing Sector-37 and then directed through the intersection in front of the Botanical Garden.
Similarly, vehicles traveling from Kalindi Kunj towards Sector-18, DND, and Chilla will also be redirected along the same diversion route. Officials confirmed that additional personnel will be deployed to manage traffic and avoid congestion.
Water Supply to Several Sectors Likely to be Affected
Alongside traffic changes, the repair work on the damaged potable water pipeline is expected to disrupt water supply in several nearby sectors. Residents are advised to store water in advance and stay updated through local civic bodies.
Heavy Vehicles to be Diverted if Necessary
In addition, heavy goods vehicles traveling from the expressway towards Noida and Delhi may also face diversions if the situation demands. Authorities have requested commuters to cooperate and avoid unnecessary travel through the impacted areas during the repair window.
