Last month, Mahindra reported over 58,000 open bookings for its Scorpio range. However, this number has dropped significantly, showing a decline of about 33% from 86,000 bookings in May. The company has ramped up production to meet demand, leading to quicker deliveries for customers. Despite this, more than 1.78 lakh units are still pending delivery across various models.
Scorpio’s Monthly Bookings 📊
The Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic are currently receiving about 12,000 bookings each month. This decline in open orders is also seen in the Thar, which has experienced a similar 29% drop in recent months. Mahindra’s sales figures for July 2024 were impressive, standing at 41,523 units—a 15% increase from 36,205 units sold in July 2023.
Scorpio/N Remains Top Seller 🥇
In July, the Scorpio/N maintained its number-one position in sales with 12,237 units sold, marking a 16% year-on-year growth compared to 10,522 units sold in the same month last year. The Mahindra XUV3XO also saw a remarkable rise in sales, reaching 10,000 units with a growth of 121%. It is now ranked 5th among sub 4-metre SUVs.
XUV700 Sales on the Rise 📈
The XUV700 also performed well in July 2024, with sales hitting 7,769 units—a 26% increase from 6,176 units sold a year ago. Overall, Mahindra’s strong performance in July highlights its commitment to meeting customer needs while ensuring safety and quality across its vehicle range.
