New Delhi, Despite the continuous drop in temperature in Delhi, dengue cases are increasing, about which the Lieutenant Governor has expressed concern by tweeting and has also spoken to health officials including the Chief Secretary, NDMC Chairman.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has asked the Chief Secretary, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and Delhi Government to work on war footing to ensure cleanliness and prevent the breeding of mosquitoes. He has said that the increasing cases of dengue in Delhi is worrying. Through social media, he said that despite the drop in temperature, dengue cases are increasing in Delhi and due to this, patients are being admitted rapidly in hospitals. He appealed to the people to take necessary precautionary measures.

Corporation also alert

In view of the increasing dengue cases in Delhi, Delhi Municipal Corporation has also become alert. Corporation Mayor Dr Shaili Oberoi said that she will soon hold a high level meeting on this issue. Other officials of the corporation said that continuous efforts are being made to prevent dengue, but this time due to prolonged rains and floods, the problem of waterlogging has increased, due to which the breeding of mosquitoes is more this time.

Arrangements have been made in the hospital

In view of the increasing cases of dengue, beds have been reserved in all the government hospitals of Delhi. On the instructions of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, orders have also been given to keep stock of medicines and other essential items. Doctors say that this time a large number of patients are coming. Some of these patients also become serious. There are adequate facilities in hospitals for such patients.
