A wave of joy has swept across devotees as the sacred Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is set to resume this June after a long pause of five years. This time, the journey will take a new route — through the Nathula Pass in Sikkim.

The yatra was suspended in 2020 due to rising military tensions between India and China, and the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that conditions have normalized, preparations are in full swing to restart this historic and spiritual pilgrimage.
