Indian Knowledge Systems Division Announces Faculty Training Programme on NEP 2020
To create new opportunities and get insights into the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), the Indian Knowledge Systems (ICS) Division of the Ministry of Education announced a six-day Faculty Training Programme (FTP) to be conducted in collaboration with the UGC in the physical mode for more than 1000 faculty at six Human Resource Development Centers (HRDCs) of UGC during July to October 2023.
Portal Inauguration and Training Details
The chairman of UGC inaugurated the portal for the registration of the IKS FTP. Each HRDC will train 180 faculty in four parallel batches and the training will be conducted by some of the best IKS experts from all over the country.
Nominations and Eligibility
The vice-chancellors of the universities and principals of the colleges will be nominating two regular faculty members from their institution for participating in the training programme. The preference will be given to faculty (assistant professors, associate professors and full professors, in that order) who are currently teaching or planning to teach an introductory course in IKS in the current academic year.
HRDC Locations and Convenience
The UGC chairman Prof Jagadish Kumar said that the six HRDC locations were chosen from all parts of the country to facilitate faculty to attend the programmes in HRDCs.
