If you’re planning to buy a new electric car, this news is for you. Hyundai is gearing up to launch the new Creta EV next year, following the recent launch of the 2024 Creta Facelift, which started at an introductory price of ₹10.99 lakhs earlier this month.
What to Expect from the Upcoming Hyundai Creta EV:
Design Modifications:
The upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, based on the newly launched Creta Facelift model, is expected to feature quad-beam LED headlamps, horizon LED positioning lamps and DRLs, LED turn signals at the front and rear, and connecting LED tail lamps.
While the Creta EV will likely retain much of the facelift model’s design, modifications such as a closed grille specific to electric vehicles and slight updates to the front and rear bumpers are anticipated.
Interior Upgrades:
Spy shots indicate that the Creta EV will sport a new set of alloy wheels, possibly ranging from 17 to 18 inches.
The interior is expected to retain most features from the new Creta, including an integrated infotainment and instrument cluster screen, front row ventilated seats, voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone automatic temperature control.
Extended Range:
Safety features for the upcoming Creta EV include 6 airbags, electronic stability control, rear and front parking sensors, a rear camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
Powered by a 45-kilowatt battery pack, the Creta EV is expected to generate a maximum power of 138bhp and a peak torque of 255Nm, offering a potential range of up to 450 km on a full charge.
Market Competition:
The Hyundai Creta EV is set to compete with other electric vehicles in the market, such as the Tata Nexon EV and the Tata Punch EV.
